Designing and Building Your Sauna
With a Finnleo® custom built sauna, the only limit is your imagination! Bring your room dimensions and let one of our Wellness Consultants help you design your own unique, dream sauna for your home spa or gym, Custom saunas are also perfect for new construction or remodeling, including residences, hotels, corporate fitness centers, health clubs, or apartment buildings, or for unique room shapes or sizes.
The options are unlimited — innovative use of glass windows and doors, unusual angles, unique bench configurations.
With a Finnleo Permanently-Installed Sauna, you can achieve them all. Your design, in partnership with Finnleo experience and quality, assures unmatched form and function. If you can design it, we can build it.
We’ll pre-cut the finest materials for your walls and ceiling, we’ll pre-build the benches and door — all for final installation on your framed walls. Simply provide the inside dimensions, the door location and your preference for bench configuration — we’ll do the rest. Need design assistance to overcome potential challenges? Custom Sauna Interior Solutions
Custom Interior – Standard
Finnleo’s standard interior sets the “standard” for the industry.
- Nordic White Spruce T&G walls & ceiling wood
- Abachi 2-Bar backrests, benches, heater guards and duckboards (for the walk area)
- Full frame 2×4 construction with 1×4 Abachi tops and face.
- Bullnose front (for short direction tops) or standard front (for long direction tops) included.
- Benches are assembled from the bottom using hidden stainless steel screws
- Pre-hung all-glass bronze tinted door
- Low voltage LED in-backrest lighting
- Bucket & ladle
Custom Interior – Deco
Fixed Upper Benches
The Deco Interior has become Finnleo’s most popular custom bench upgrade—due to the immense flexibility in bench layout while still incorporating the popular platform/middle bench.
- Benches and backrests can be chosen from any of those shown.
- Benches are mounted to sturdy wall-supports.
- Wall-to-wall middle platform.
Custom Interior – Centurion
The Centurion incorporates special design to blend the best of old, traditional features with modern design. The Nordic design includes Finnleo’s exclusive black Taika sauna wall paneling in contrast to wide-board clear Canadian Hemlock benches and backrests.

The Twilight / Vita interior includes elegant design features. With contemporary glass-to-glass corner, luxury backrests, recessed LED Lighting, and accented wood features inside and out, the Twilight is a beautiful addition to any home.

All Finnleo Permanently-Installed Saunas include:
- Manufactured in the USA by Finnleo
- Interior walls and ceiling, cut-to-length tongue and groove, Nordic White Spruce (or other woods of your choice)
- All interior trim
- A genuine Finnleo heater, rocks and heater guard
- Pre Assembled benches, headrests and backrests. Widest standard bench widths in the industry (24” wide for sauna depths 5’ or more)
- Prehung All-Glass door (or other door options; choose from six door options)
- Room light, duckboard flooring, thermometer, and foil vapor barrier
- Sauna bucket, ladle and all hardware
- Choose from several interior options, and three wood options: Nordic Whitewoods and Abachi—the trademark of Finnleo Saunas, or clear Western Red Cedar, Canadian Hemlock with Abachi or Taika.
